Origins Beliefs & Moral Views - Dr. Richard Overman

Does one’s belief about whether we were specially created by God or evolved naturally (origins) affect their moral views? This question is explored by Dr. Overman using his own groundbreaking research. You will see clear evidence why a true understanding of where we came from is important to the development of our world view and the training up our children in the way they should go (Proverbs 22:6).

 

Roman's Road Begins in Genesis - Dr. Richard Overman

Jesus is our Creator and Redeemer. This session shows the biblical connection between the creation and the cross. It puts the evangelism in Creation Science to  help you effectively share the love of Jesus with others.

 

The Importance of Teaching Creation - Pat Roy

What’s wrong with evolution? The issue of origins is primarily a spiritual battle between the biblical worldview and the non-biblical worldview. Teaching of any form of evolution, whether it be secular evolution, theistic evolution, progressive “creation”, or any other old earth view, is teaching a non-biblical worldview. It is important that children grow up learning the truth of God’s Word so they will have the right worldview foundation.

 

Made in God's Image - Pat Roy

What makes humans different from all other animals? The answer is that humans are made in the image of God while all other animals are not. This session describes what it means to be made in the image of God and the worldview ramifications.

 

Biology

For the Birds - Bill & Merilee Clifton

On this Creation Adventure, we'll learn about birds in general and then focus on Florida birds. According to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, birding is the number one sport in America!  The U.S. has over 60 million birders, and the number is growing! We will learn how birds were specifically designed by their Creator to do what they do. 

 

The Hidden Kingdom, Insects and Arachnids, Bill & Merilee Clifton

Buzz on by as we learn about the "Hidden Kingdom" of insects and arachnids!  You’ll be bug-eyed when you see preserved specimens of the world’s largest insect, the world's heaviest insect, the insect with the largest eyes, and more!  You'll also see a live tarantula!  Learn about the butterfly and its life cycle – from egg to caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly.  Do butterflies grow?  How do they smell?  Do they migrate?  What is "metamorphosis?"  What does the Bible say about metamorphosis?  Discover even more about creepy crawlies when “flutter by” and join us!

 

Marine Science, A Sea of Evidence - Bill & Merilee Clifton

Can a male sea animal give birth?  Are there fish that actually have their own lighting systems?  What sea animal has eyes as big as soccer balls?  Mr. Bill Clifton draws from his years of experience as head of SeaWorld Orlando's Education Department and his creationist perspective to answer these and other questions as he shares with us his knowledge of the sea and the awesome creatures that live in it.  We'll view a fascinating visual presentation and see many artifacts from the sea including shark teeth and jaw, stingray barbs, horseshoe crab, puffer fish, and more. 

 

Walk with Dinosaurs - Bill & Merilee Clifton

Are dinosaurs mentioned in the Bible?  Did they live along with man?  Why did they become extinct?  Are they all extinct?  What can we really know about them?  Mr. Clifton will share surprising information about dinosaurs with us.  We'll see actual fossils of dinosaurs and other animals, learn how fossils form, and much more!

Philosophy of Science - Dr. Danny Faulkner

What is science and how is it done? The philosophy of science involves the definition of what science is and the description of how science is done. Unfortunately, the state of education in the philosophy of science today is not good. Most treatments of the subject are mere introductions, leaving the impression that "the scientific method" is a sort of recipe that one may follow. Rather than being a formal process, science is a process of drawing inferences about how the world works. There are trends in the attitude about science today that are hostile to theism. This presentation will open new doors into the way that you teach and do science.

 

Thermodynamics - Dr. Danny Faulkner

The laws of thermodynamics represent the most basic physical properties designed by God. By understanding these laws we can make sense of many things that we observe. This presentation introduces you to the laws with practical applications.

 

Relativity - Dr. Danny Faulkner

Albert Einstein developed two versions of his relativity principles; general relativity and special relativity. Essentially, general relativity is a theory of gravity which, instead of being an invisible force that attracts objects to one another, gravity is a curving or warping of space. The more massive an object, the more it warps the space around it. Special relativity involves the speed of light, among other things. This is presented at the high school level.

Quantum Mechanics - Dr. Danny Faulkner

What goes on inside an atom? Quantum mechanics is the branch of mechanics that deals with the mathematical description of the motion and interactions of subatomic particles, incorporating the concepts of quantization of energy, wave-particle duality, the uncertainty principle, and the correspondence principle. This is presented at the high school level.

 

Geology

Noah's Flood: Fact or Fantasy - Kyle Justice

 Was it global or local? The flood of Noah’s day is described in Genesis 7-9. It was literally a world-changing event. You will see the amazing geological features we observe in the world today and how they are easy to explain in the context of a worldwide flood. Grand Canyon, coal, stratified layers, and more are on the menu for this session.

 

Ice Age - Kyle Justice

 One or Many? The ice age is cool, but how many were there? What caused it? Could it happen again? What is the evidence for it? These and many other questions are answered in this session.

 

Demystifying Radiometric Dating - Dr. Richard Overman

Radiometric dating techniques are used to “prove” that the earth and universe are billions of years old. This session provides a clear and simple explanation of these techniques and their weaknesses. Using his own research, Dr. Overman  demonstrates the fallacy of the “Geologic Column” and how dinosaur bones cannot be “millions of years old based on carbon dating”.

 

It's a Young Earth After All - Dr. Richard Overman

The physical and biblical evidence shows that the earth is about 6,000 years old. In this session, Dr. Overman walks through this evidence in a way that you can use to teach your children and students. The session ends with a song written by Dr. Overman.

About the Instructors

Bill Clifton, a former evolutionist, has a passion for God’s creation!  His desire is to share his knowledge of science and the Bible to help others understand our incredible Creator and His handiwork.  For over 40 years, Bill has taught various science, Bible, and creation classes for public, Christian, and home schools as well as seminary.  He was also head of SeaWorld Orlando's Education Department and served as Minister of Education in a local church before he and his wife Merilee founded Science Partners in 2000.  They offer Creation Adventures (field trips and workshops) for homeschool families, Christian schools, and churches. Bill is a creation speaker and ordained minister. Bill and Merilee have been married 53 years!  They have three children, eleven grandchildren, and two grandchildren-in-law.

 

Dr. Danny Faulkner holds an MS in Physics from Clemson University and an MA and PhD in Astronomy from Indiana University and taught at the University of South Carolina Lancaster for over 26 years. He serves as a board member of the Creation Research Society and has published over 100 papers in various journals. He now works as a researcher, author, and speaker for Answers in Genesis.

 

Kyle Justice is the Emmy nominated producer of many creation science DVDs and programs. He is the father of eight children and has been married for over twenty-five years to Dawn Justice. Their brand of creation videos is under the label of Awesome Science Media. Many of their video titles are used for science education in the church, Christian schools, and home school programs. Kyle is an independent television producer, creating content for major networks such as ESPN, National Geographic, the Outdoor Channel, Fox Sports, and Comcast SportsNet. Kyle continued producing creation science programming by developing “The Creation Network,” a weekly program airing nationally on Sky Angel. The Justice family is adventurous and dedicated to serving God in the area of media ministry, with a focus on science and the Bible.

 

Dr. Richard Overman, born in 1957, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master of Science in Science Education, and a Doctorate in Biblical Studies.  He has over 30 years engineering experience. In 1992, he and Ginger accepted a call by God into a creation ministry. This led to the formation of Creation Education Resources, Inc, in 1994 where he is a researcher, lecturer, teacher, and president.  He has spoken to numerous churches, Home School Groups, technical conferences, and the International Conference on Creationism. He has also published articles in technical journals and magazines about engineering, creation science, and other topics.

 

Pat Roy began in creation ministry at the Institute for Creation Research, where he eventually was the Director of Broadcast and Radio.  He was very instrumental establishing and producing the ICR radio program, “Science Scripture and Salvation” with Dr. John Morris.  Then in 2000, Pat and his wife Sandy created the Jonathan Park Creation Radio Dramas. After retiring from producing Jonathan Park in 2015, Pat and Sandy established Creation Quest, an outreach creation ministry.  Pat began hosting Creation oriented camps, cavern tours, speaking at conferences, producing video segments, directing and writing the Debunking Evolution DVD, developing online learning programs, and holding Creation Worldview classes.
